Institut für Sozialwissenschaften, Bildung und Gesundheit [SoBiG]

Im Institut werden aktuelle gesellschaftliche Wandlungs- und Transformationsprozesse u.a. hinsichtlich frühkindlicher Bildung und Teilhabe, Soziologie sozialer Ungleichheiten (u.a. mit Raumbezug) und psychosozialer Entwicklungsherausforderungen erforscht. Die laufenden (Stand April 2026) Dritt- und Sondermittelvorhaben sind u.a. von der EU, dem Land Niedersachsen und der DFG finanziert.

The institute conducts research on current processes of social change and transformation, including early childhood education and participation, the sociology of social inequalities (including spatial dimensions), and psycho-social developmental challenges. The ongoing (April 2026) third-party and special-funding projects are financed by the EU, the State of Lower Saxony, and the DFG, among others.
