  • From 1976 training as a restorer of paintings and wood sculptures at the Institute for Art Technology and Conservation at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nuremberg under Dr. Thomas Brachert
  • Internships, work and time contracts at the Kunsthaus Zürich and at state and independent workshops in the field of German and Swiss monument conservation
  • From 1984 to 2002 restorer of paintings and wood sculptures at the Lower Saxony State Museum, Hanover, State Gallery
  • Since 2002 Professor at the HAWK Hildesheim, Faculty of Conservation of Cultural Property, for the field of conservation and restoration of framed wooden objects and paintings
