Higher education entrance qualification (general higher education entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification, advanced technical college entrance qualification or further school or vocational training in accordance with § 18 NHG).
A further prerequisite for admission to the study programme is an eight-week pre-study internship. Proof of the pre-study internship must be provided by the end of the third semester at the latest.
The pre-study internship may be waived in whole or in part if the prerequisites are fulfilled. Please refer to the Admission Regulations and the Internship Guidelines for further details.
As, during the study program, there will be courses to be attended at the Universitätsmedizin Göttingen (University Medical Center Göttingen, UMG), a proof of an appropriate measles protection that meets the requirements of § 20 paragraph 9 of the German Infektionsschutzgesetz (Infection Protection Act, IfSG) is mandatory. This proof (Medical Certificate) has to be submitted to the HAWK together with the enrolment form.

In the case of applications for higher semesters, proof of academic achievement is also required for the placement process.
Students applying for a second degree must also provide a written statement of their motivation to study (max. one page).
Study places are allocated within the framework of nationwide coordination. Applicants must first register with hochschulstart.de.
The data required for the application must then be entered via the HAWK application portal (online application). The application portal will be activated no later than six weeks before the end of the application period.

For applications from abroad, the German language examination for university entrance (DSH) or a comparable qualification is required as proof of proficiency in the German language.
Proof that you have successfully passed a recognised German language examination is required.
