A subject-specific, previous study programme (Bachelor’s or equivalent)
A further prerequisite is the successful completion of an apprenticeship as a recognised occupational therapist, speech therapist or physiotherapist.
For the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (MSK) study profile, proof of the first certificate examination in manual therapy is also required (by the end of the first Master's semester at the latest). Due to a revision of the curriculum, it is strongly recommended to contact Prof. Dr. Axel Schäfer prior to applying for the MSK study profile.
A pre-study internship is not required.

In the case of applications for higher semesters, proof of academic achievement is also required for the placement process.
Students applying for a second degree must also provide a written statement of their motivation to study (max. one page).
The data required for the application must be entered by the applicants on the HAWK application portal (online application).
The application portal will be activated no later than six weeks before the end of the application period.

For applications from abroad, the German language examination for university entrance (DSH) or a comparable qualification is required as proof of proficiency in the German language.
