Online application: The portal will close at 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the application period.
Higher education entrance qualification (general higher education entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification, advanced technical college entrance qualification or further school or vocational training in accordance with § 18 NHG).
There are no further prerequisites for admission to the study programme.
Students can demonstrate special suitability by providing proof of completing the following vocational training courses or engaging in these practical activities:
a) If the applicant proves that he or she has completed vocational training related to health care, the average grade is improved by 0.3 on a one-off basis.
Only vocational training through which the student did not earn the higher education entrance qualification is taken into account.

In addition, the qualification as a paramedic with an additional minimum of 1,200 hours of proven emergency service is recognised.
b) The following jobs and internships with a minimum duration of 800 hours are considered as practical activities:
In this case, your average score will be improved by 0.2 on a one-off basis.
If both criteria a) and b) apply, the bonuses are added together. In cases of doubt, the Dean of Studies will decide on whether or not to recognise the equivalent vocational training or internships.

Students applying for a second degree must also provide a written statement of their motivation to study (max. one page).
Study places are allocated within the framework of nationwide coordination. Applicants must first register at hochschulstart.de.
The data required for the application must then be entered via the HAWK application portal (online application). The application portal will be activated no later than six weeks before the end of the application period.

For applications from abroad, the German language examination for university entrance (DSH) or a comparable qualification is required as proof of proficiency in the German language.
