Der HAWK Forschungspodcast

The HAWK “New Research!” podcast is a new science communication initiative run jointly by the HAWK graduate school and the press office. Research at universities of applied sciences is a new development; universities of applied sciences are transforming from purely teaching institutions into research institutions. Research topics and methods typical of universities of applied sciences are often less well known and there is lower awareness of their range and diversity. The HAWK “New Research!” podcast aims to help publicise such new research, which is often undertaken by young researchers.

The first season features interviews with doctoral students and early-career researchers from all HAWK departments. Interviews last 30-40 minutes and provide information about research topics and issues, research design, collaborations, work placements, and much more.

The season will kick off with early-career researchers from the Göttingen Faculties of Engineering and Health and Resource Management. Further interviews will follow, initially from the Holzminden site, with the Faculty of Management, Social Work and Construction and the Holzminden/Höxter Future Centre (ZZHH). Early-career researchers from the Hildesheim faculties will also have their say, for example on restoration and conservation.

Everyone has a lot to say, so listen in!

There will be further podcast episodes in the future. If you are interested in being interviewed, please email the HAWK graduate school. English-speaking guests are also welcome!
