Open Library, Health Campus Göttingen

Before entering the building, you must hold your student/member ID card up to the access control reader located to the right of the entrance. Only then will your ID unlock the door to the library.

Terms of Use:

• Access is available during building hours (7:30 AM – 7:00 PM) with an activated card.
• No other individuals may be granted access. Transferring access privileges to third parties is not permitted.
• Media from the Open Library may only be viewed and used on-site in the library and in the adjacent study room. The collection is not available for checkout.
• The exits of the library and the study room are secured by an alarm system—the security gates detect media that are removed from the room without authorization.
• You must leave the library well before the building closes (7:00 PM).
• Die Benutzungsordnung der HAWK-Bibliothek and Hausordnung der HAWK must be observed.
• Violation of these regulations will result in the revocation of access privileges to the Open Library.

Use HAWK.Discovery for your literature search.

The Open Library is equipped with a scanner for copying individual chapters or pages from the materials. Scans can be saved directly to a USB drive or sent via email. A PrintAnywhere device for printing and copying is available in the adjacent study room.

You are welcome to suggest books for purchase. You can use our online form to send us your book requests.

The Testothek serves to support the professional development and training of HAWK’s teaching and research staff as well as its students. Materials may be borrowed exclusively for teaching and research purposes. Testing procedures may only be provided to authorized individuals who have received or are currently receiving appropriate training. The following are authorized to borrow materials:

• Students at HAWK – Health Campus Göttingen, Department of Therapeutic Sciences (Speech Therapy)
• Faculty members at HAWK – Health Campus Göttingen, Therapy Sciences program (Speech Therapy)
• Faculty members at the School of Speech Therapy at the Educational Academy of Göttingen University Medical Center

To borrow test materials, you must have a valid library account.

If you are not yet registered with the HAWK Library, please fill out the online registration form and email us your user number (located on the back of your student ID and beginning with 309...) as well as your student ID number. We will notify you via email as soon as your library account has been activated.

Please fill out the „Ausleihe von Testverfahren“ form and email it to us with your signature. You will typically receive suggested pickup dates within a week for collecting the tests at the Health Campus Göttingen, Annastraße 25, 37075 Göttingen. Please bring your student ID or university ID with you when you come to pick up the tests. The requested tests will then be handed to you on site.

Borrowing is limited to a maximum of six tests per person.

The standard loan period for exam materials is 1 week for students and 4 weeks for faculty. You may renew the loan period up to two times. To request a renewal, please contact the library directly via email. You will then receive a confirmation of the renewal.

The test and scoring materials included in the tests are subject to copyright laws and may not be reproduced. Sharing borrowed test materials with third parties is prohibited. Please refer to the guidelines on test security and copyright: “Tests in Lehre & Forschung.”
