Norbert Wasserfurth-Grzybowski graduated in electrical engineering at the TU Gliwice and lighting engineering at the TU Warsaw. He completed the extension of his studies in lighting engineering at the TU Karlsruhe under Prof. Bodmann and Prof. Greuler, among others. Since then he has already worked as a lighting designer, designer, manager in the lighting industry and speaker at international conferences.
In 1997, he founded his own planning office Dynamisches Licht/ Studio DL in Hildesheim, Germany, and is working on numerous projects in many European cities with his constantly growing team. The office has already received several awards for its planning work, including the German Lighting Design Prize 2013 and 2015.
Since 2004 he has been an artistic and scientific assistant at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HAWK) and carries out research in the fields of dynamic light, light-colour-emotion, visualisation in 3D-space. His teaching focuses on the basics of outdoor lighting and design techniques with light.
