What is this study programme all about?

This study programme revolves around everything to do with wood and how we can use this valuable raw material. After an introductory semester, you will come to the first fork in the road of your studies: select structural timber construction or furniture and interior finishing.

If you opt for structural timber construction, everything in your studies will revolve around the planning and production of such timber constructions as buildings or bridges. In the furniture and interior finishing specialisation, students deal with the development and construction of furnishings.

It is just as much a matter of technical craftsmanship as of the business background of industrial production.

What can I do with it later?

Your future job prospects are as varied as the possible uses of wood as a raw material. With a Bachelor's degree, you will be able to fill managerial positions in prefabricated house construction, timber frame construction, timber engineering, furniture or interior construction or in production and quality management.

In addition, graduates with a specialisation in structural timber construction will be able to switch to the Master's programme in Civil Engineering.

What makes this study programme special?

It' s quite clear: the interplay of theory and practice, the internationality and the close co-operation with such other study programmes as architecture, design, conservation and restoration or civil engineering.

The advantages at a glance:
