“Most of our students are already working when they start the study programme. This works well because most of the teaching takes place online and the studies can also be completed part-time.”
Melanie Ebert, study programme co-ordinator

What is this study programme all about?

In the Part-time Degree Programme in Business Administration, you will learn what you can use directly in your job. The programme is aimed primarily at professionals and experienced professionals. In terms of content, it covers the traditional contents of business administration, such as human resources management, taxation and accounting, marketing, investment and financing.

In addition, there is a targeted orientation of all content, which makes the practical relevance even clearer: The focus is on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), family businesses and start-ups in rural areas. You will deepen this knowledge in compulsory elective modules and deal, for example, with innovation processes, succession arrangements and start-ups.

What can I do with it later?

Actually, the question here should be: What can I do with it right now? After all, you study alongside your job and can put your acquired knowledge directly to the test into actual practice.

This academic degree opens up good career opportunities, depending on your personal goals, such as taking on more responsibility or adding new areas of responsibility to your job, for example. As a successor or manager of a family business, you will strengthen your competence in day-to-day processes and strategic planning and close any gaps in your knowledge.

What makes this study programme special?

The general conditions for this study programme are also remarkable: Four modules per semester are planned for the standard period of study of nine semesters. If you wish, you can reduce or increase the number of modules individually and flexibly. The duration of your studies will then be adjusted accordingly.

The blended learning concept makes it possible to reconcile work, private life and studies by combining online and attendance elements. A large part of the course content can be developed flexibly in terms of time and location, e.g. from home. Using the interactive learning platform, you can also work on recorded online lectures at a later date. In addition, once a month, classroom events take place in Holzminden. Intensive support is guaranteed. The costs are manageable and easy to plan.
